Attention students who drive, if you approach a school bus that is stopped and choose to drive around it, you will be ticketed by the Montana Highway Patrol.  There are cameras on each bus that will identify your vehicle by recording the license plate.   Please follow all traffic laws and keep each other safe!  Thank you!

Academic Team: If you plan on trying out for Academic Team and have not taken the written try-out test, please go to Ms. Broaddus' room during lunch today.

FFA Livestock Practice will be every Thursday at lunch.

Juniors and Seniors:  Northwest College in Powell, WY will be visiting the counseling office on Tuesday, October 16th at 2:37 pm (beginning of 7th period).  If you would like to visit with this rep, please make sure to make arrangements with your classroom teacher.

Seniors: Do you need money for college?  There will be a financial aid and scholarship meeting on Tuesday, October 16th at 6 pm in the DCHS cafeteria.  This is for you and your parents!  Please attend!

This Week is Disabilities Awareness Week! Please participate in our dress up days and purchase a wristband from FCCLA! Wednesday is Green Out Day wear all the green you can!! Thursday is Animal Day dress like your favorite animal- youtube it! Friday Sports Day!

Friday:  Everyone in the world has a disability or something they struggle with; some are just more visible than others. Things like depression, dyslexia, Autism, cancer, and many others are all invisible. So be kind and accept that everyone is unique and that you might not know everything about the people around you. Thank you for participating this week!

Key Club: We are hosting a clothing drive. The clothes will be donated to Homeless youth “Home is where the heart is Program” The bins are in front of the Principal Office. Winning class gets root-beer floats.

Seniors:  If you want to retake the ACT on October 27th at DCC, you can still register, but you will have to pay a $30 late fee in addition to the regular test price.  The final day to register is October 14th.  The next test date will be December 8th, and you will need to drive to an out of town test center.

Lunch for today:  Chili with Cinnamon Roll, fruit & milk or Salad Bar.

Thursday: Kids with disabilities are more likely to be bullied. That’s why we need to raise awareness. Everyone is unique in their own way. We, as a society, need to bring on more of a culture of acceptance and be kind to one another. Tomorrow is Sports Day.

NHS: There will be a VERY SHORT NHS meeting Thursday morning at 8:00 to discuss the details for October's group project. Please be on time so we can start right away.

Tuesday: Children with disabilities are less likely to go to school than non disabled children. However this doesn’t mean they can’t do amazing things with their lives. Some examples are Frida Kahlo-an amazing artist, Stephen Hawking- an amazing scientist, Stevie Wonder - an very cool pianist and singer, and Helen Keller a political activist.

Dawson show choir: There is a meeting for the Dawson show choir in the auditorium Today during lunch.

NHS: There will be a VERY SHORT NHS meeting Thursday morning at 8:00 to discuss the details for October's group project. Please be on time so we can start right away.

Students:  The army recruiter will be visiting DCHS over the lunch hour today,

October 9.  If you would like to visit with the recruiter, please stop at the table outside the cafeteria.

Monday: Not all disabilities are visible.While we can see some disabilities you may not be able to detect others. For instance, Autism is a social and emotional disability. Sometimes people on the spectrum have some physical issues, but other times you would never know unless they came to an awkward social situation.
