November 13th-17th
November 16th, 2017

November is College Awareness Month.  Your teachers have some advice for you when thinking about your post-secondary options.

Mr. Kolobakken attended Minot State University.  His advice is, "I would seriously consider a trade school, such as NDSCS in Wahpeton, North Dakota. Look ahead and visualize how you want to live your life and what you want to achieve. Set long-term goals first and then set your shorter-term goals to achieve those long-term goals. Above all, work hard and believe in yourself. Remember that you control your destiny."

November is College Awareness Month.  Your teachers have some advice for you when thinking about your post-secondary options.Mr. Temple attended Dickinson State University and Montana State University-Bozeman.  His advice is, "Choose to study something that interests you enough that you can make it your passion because you have a long work life ahead of you. Chasing money and materials will lead to disappointment. Find what you like to do, get good at it, and those things will take care of themselves. Everything new in life creates anxiety. Your first few weeks at college, trade school, or your new job will be no different. It gets better with time. Don't hide in your dorm room. Everyone will be in the same boat as you, nervous and a bit homesick. "

1st turn in day for freshman magazine sales is tomorrow morning before school.  Any freshman who has not received the magazine packet because they were absent last week please pick one up from Mr. Sikveland.  If you have any questions talk to Mr. Sikveland or one of your Freshman class officers.  Remember this fundraiser is for your class.

November is College Awareness Month.  Your teachers have some advice for you when thinking about your post-secondary options. Mr. Skalsky attended Northwest College (community college), University of Wyoming and Western Governors University (online-masters).  His suggestion is, "I think it would be beneficial to take different classes to seek a career that interests you. It is okay to not start at a large university, the setting can be intimidating, a smaller college is a good transition.
